It’s been just over a year since we reintroduced the Orbit rand deck to the Palm range, and we’re excited by just how many places it’s been in the past twelve months. In celebration of the Orbit’s first birthday, here are some of it’s greatest hits so far …
Ben Brown was the number one fan of Palm’s old Kevlar Rand deck, and he was delighted to take the new one down one of his super steep home runs.
As spring arrived in Europe, Jake and Aleix were rallied to fire up the infamous Devil’s Slide on Italy’s Sorba river. This one’s as fast, tight and technical as the come, and with the crux move coming straight after the biggest hit, you’re putting 100% trust in your deck to stay solid all the way.
As autumn arrived Aleix Salvat began his epic adventure through South America. The trip through the remote gorges of the Rio Apurimac requires committing moves on tough class 5, and a deck which stay on no matter what.
Meanwhile, throughout his huge 2017, nobody’s been pushing the Orbit deck harder than Bren Orton. On top of his already incredible freestyle skills, Bren has this year proved himslef one of the world’s boldest and best whitewater paddlers. Whether claiming huge first descents in Norway, or styling his way through the biggest waterfalls in the US and Chile, Bren is pushing steep whitewater into a new realm, his trusty Orbit deck keeping him afloat, and charging hard.
